Ripples

I believe the greatest gift we can offer is to help one another. These acts touch lives in ways we can't begin to imagine.   Seldom do we see the ripples and how they can affect countless others as well.  Acts of kindness are remembered as precious gifts and held in hearts and minds for a lifetime.

Top Secret Project ~ revealed

Recently I had the pleasure of working on a "big" top secret project and I'm so excited to finally share it with you.  Not long ago a friend of a friend/customer contacted me, wanting to order a custom event banner for a birthday gift.  I was delighted at the opportunity  ~ I love being part of a surprise and it's always so much fun seeing my designs transition from digital to print.

Event banners are especially challenging in a number of ways ~ working on such a large scale can be very tricky as most elements blur when increased in size, so it's important to pay close attention to the full size results while working on the overall design aspects.  This means a lot view changes, back and forth between the two sizes, but when done right the end result is spectacular and worth the additional time.

I'm delighted to say the surprise gift was a huge success! And when I say "huge" it wound up being a whopping 6+ feet wide!!  Kim over at the Lazy Cowgirl loves her new banner and I'm absolutely thrilled with the photos she sent, shown above.  To find out more about my unique event banners just visit the Business Tools section in my Etsy shop or contact me.

Birthday Cards~

Have you heard of Jacquie Lawson e-cards?? I love, love, love them! I have a few lovely friends who've sent them to me on occasion and I received several for my birthday this year. They're my absolute favorites and the imagery is entirely stunning and awe-inspiring to me.

While viewing one of my birthday cards this morning I suddenly realized they come with little surprise gifts at the end ~ this one, the "Lotus Garden", offered a free downloadable screensaver. Some have puzzles, printable keepsakes, and all sorts of other goodies.

Regular cards always bother me because it feels like such a waste, you spend 4.99 for a piece of paper only to throw it away after a few days. Jacquie Lawson e-cards fix that issue and make the experience interactive, enchantingly magickal, and come with a lovely gift ~ what could be better?!

So if you haven't checked them out you really should ~ her work is simply beautiful and soooo much fun to receive!

Enjoy~

Gift from an Angel~

I just received the most amazing 'gift'! My sweet friend Angie of Artangel has been participating in a Pay-it-Forward challenge in the month of April ~ basically she's offered a selection of her gorgeous creations for free through her Etsy shop.

Today was the last day and her offering was this gorgeous "Love" painting/collage. I'm a huge fan of my dear friend's work and have been collecting her pieces over the years.

When I heard she was offering up this gorgeous piece (one of my very favorites) as her last PIF, I just had to stalk her shop and sure enough, I got it!! Whoot!! I'm now the new owner of this fabulous Artangel creation and just couldn't be happier!!

So a huge thanks to the Angie for choosing to participate in this give-forward event and the angel who helped me click that buy button at just the right time♥ What a wonderful gift after this l-o-n-g week!

I'm sure you'll want to view more of Angie's gorgeous creations like this newly finished piece "Unwritten Poem" ...

I just love all the intricate details she includes in her work! This piece along with another will be appearing at an open exhibition in the UK this week, so here are the links to visit her blog and shop ~ www.artangeloriginalart.blogspot.com & www.Artangel.etsy.com to find out more.

Enjoy!
