Customer Shout Outs

We're pleased as punch to be offering up a viewing of two recently completed projects.

The first is this ethereal theme created for Earth Mermaid.  For this theme we were given permission to use some original artwork created for our customer by the ever talented Erin Darcy Design.  Modifying original imagery for custom blog themes is always a challenge as so we're delighted with the outcome.  Other elements added to her custom theme were two blog badges and and an original set of social networking links.  You can grab a closer look at: http://www.earthmermaid.com/

The next theme was for Butterfly Kisses and included one of our original shelf banners, a modified version of our Je T'aime background, and several other custom coordinating images. Working on shelf banners is such a treat as we have the opportunity to truly personalize the look so each comes out quite different and oh-so unique!  Add-ons for this whimsical theme include a top navigation bar and personal blog signature.  You can take a closer look at: http://butterflykisseswithlove.blogspot.com/

We're currently wrapping up several indepth custom orders and hope to have more Customer Shouts for you in the very near future.

Beautiful Etiquette

Being raised by a socialite, etiquette always played a key roll in my life.  Knowing when and where to exercise the proper sentiments was a key part of my childhood training.  Fast forward 50 years and the world has changed dramatically from that once proper place my mother dreamed of. While many of us still try our darnedest to squeeze in those "pleases" and "thank yous" there are simply far too few of them these days.

Still I'm all about being the change and so you can often find my visual thank yous around the internet  ~ whether it's expressing gratitude to a social networking friend or leaving feedback for a purchase, I like prettying up the sentiment with my own whimsical imagery.

And so in keeping with this I thought it might be nice to start a new series of images that could be used in this manner. Whether you're looking to include a thank you at the bottom of your blog or just want to say "thanks for your friendship" on a social wall, these images will suit the situation nicely.  You'll find them included in an upcoming "Inspirational" category I have planned for the new website, but in the meantime you can grab some copies below.

PrL-Cupcake Thank You

PrL-Mermaid Thank You

PrL-Enchanted Thank You

Using the code below each image you can insert them at the bottom of your blog using this tutorial: http://plumroselane-tutorials.blogspot.com/2013/03/how-to-install-blog-badge-or-add-html.html  or by right clicking on the image you can save a copy to then post on a friend's wall like on Facebook.  Just remember to play nice ~ these images are subject to my terms of use and are not meant to be altered in any way.

Update: Originally created for the bottom of blogs and social sites, I've now included smaller versions below so these can be used in blog sidebar areas...

Since this month's theme over at Leah's Creative Everyday Challenge is "Color" I thought these might also make a nice entry for that too.  So I've submitted this post in this week's challenge posting and plan on visiting the participants to see what delicious creations have been whipped up by this week's entries ~ hope to see you there!

Customer Shout Outs

Whew! It's time once again to give the spotlight to some of my latest customers and I have to say, next to creating, this is my favorite part of this job. I have the best customers e-v-e-r, and always look forward to introducing them to you ~ they're the type of creative souls you'd enjoy spending hours with sipping coffee and sharing stories. I hope you'll take the time to get to know them and what they love.

So here is a sampling of some of my latest custom order projects...

Josie's Jewels
custom blog theme

Captured within this blog theme are many personal elements that are dear to this customer, a talented Jewelry Artist including shells & sea glass, Gaelic elements, and a warm welcoming cottage feel like that of her home. Each item holds special significance for her but non more so than the use of Celtic butterflies, a deeply meaningful symbol of a personal tragedy and triumph for this wonderful customer and I think captured many of these treasures in Josie's new blog theme.

LuLu Kellogg
custom twitter background

Next on my list was a fun and festive Twitter background for my sweet friend LuLu. LuLu is a die-hard Halloween/Shabby Chic fan and one heck of a talented lady. While she has her fingers dipped in many creative pots ~ quality, glam and glitz are never lacking in her lavish creations. Knowing full well that a Twitter profile is an essential tool for today's Indie seller she requested a custom background and I had loads of fun delivering just what she wanted.

Another popular item in my these days seems to be custom Etsy shop sets. I love working on the smaller graphics since they require less images but still offer a fun & unique way for creative expression. So here are a few of the latest customer sets~

She Sells by the Shore
etsy shop set

Referred by one of my previous customers, this lovely customer was looking for a fun theme that included elements the shore as well as some of her own handmade jewelry creations embedded within the design.

Old Paper Shop
etsy shop image set

For this project the customer was opening a new shop geared toward the sale of vintage ephemera. It was a challenge bringing all the various elements together but in the end I love the way it all blended into a soft original vintage style.

Pepper Harrow MetalCrafts
etsy shop image set

This custom theme used one of my premade one-of-a-kind sets but added a few of the customer's handmade creations giving it a truly unique and personalized appearance.

There are many more projects to show off but they are still in the works so I'm looking forward to sharing them with you very soon. What new goodies have you created lately? I'd love to hear about them!

Enjoy~

Newest Customer Shout Outs

It's always such a pleasure when I have a moment to give shout outs for some of the recent customers I've worked with and their projects. I'm honestly so blessed with the most wonderful customers and each project offers a wonderfully different creative experience. I've probably mentioned before but the process is really an intuitive one and I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity to bring my customer's dreams into reality. But enough ¸.•*´fairy~dust´*•.¸ from me... let's move on to show off some fab recent projects...

A Tray of Bliss
We begin with a complete custom makeover and one-of-a-king theme ~ this fabulous blog "serves as a guide to living the high life on a small budget" and includes 'delicious servings' for all tastes and palates. For this theme we went with a quasi vintage french motif with elements of fine dining and the good life.

Cottleston PieNext we have a little corner of blogland devoted to personal musings and quips about life's turns. For this blog project the customer was interested in using one of my prefab themes but with a few personal twists. By incorporating her own photo and some charming Pooh elements we were able to enhance this blog with a new one-of-a-kind look.

Evanescent AdolescenceThis project was particularly fun in that my customer is an admitted adolescent and proud of it, and so she was looking for something fun to represent this inspirational side of her personality. For this project I created a one-of-a-kind header and blog badge which were gifted by her Dad & Mum ~ it's always such fun to be a gift!

Art from the HeartThis last one is a bit different in that I don't normally shout out about smaller projects but since I had the opportunity to use the artist's own work to create her one-of-a-kind blog badge I just couldn't help but give a mention to this fun and original project.

I do hope you'll take a moment to visit each one (just click the titles or images) and delve into their personal corners of blogland, each is a treasure treat in it's own way.

And... now is a great time to catch the makeover bug ~ whether it's a new badge, blog banner, or entire custom theme, with 19% off savings going on in my shop you can't lose. Just hop on over before midnight April 12th and enter coupon code: springbreak2011

Enjoy!
