Updated Tutorial

As promised in yesterday's posting I'm writing this quick post to share that the "How to: Setup and Modify the Picture Window Template" has been updated.  The tutorial now includes the new Html user interface as well as loads more step-by-step screenshots so it should be even easier to follow along with ~ provided Blogger can keep from changing things up again. *le sigh*

Blogger Changes Html

It seems Blogger has once again changed things up ~ this time they've completely revamped their Html interface, so if you've been trying  use my tutorial How to: Setup and Adjust the Picture Window Template, or just working in the Html area of your blog, then you've notice things looking... well... entirely different...

I get that change is nice but is it really necessary??

Ok, so my example is  a bit over-the-top but let's face it... after the fiasco of Blogger's "updates" last year and all the recent glitchiness with their interface, it's enough to make any Blogger want to packup and move to Wordpress.

Blogger seems quite proud of their revamp and boast it's newly improved functionality in this posting from Blogger Buzz. Here's the direct link: http://buzz.blogger.com/2013/04/improvements-to-blogger-template-html.html  And while these changes may be the cat's meow down the road, for now it means a boatload of unexpected work while I revamp the set of tutorials I just finished rewriting. *le sigh*

The Brighter Side

I see the gremlins at Blogger are up to no good again.... seems images and settings are randomly changing and disappearing at will.  Take my A-Z Blog Themes List ~ there one minute and gone the next. Yikes!  It seems the more I work on getting this new website up and running, the more need there is for it. There's certainly nothing wrong with our efforts paying off so at least there's a brighter side to some of this darker weather we've seen in blogland lately.

On another note, I've just finished a new tutorial ~ How to: Install a Blog Badge (or add an html sidebar gadget) and you can find that by clicking the title.  With the creation of this final tutorial I've now completely rewritten the "Basics" section of my Decorative Themes & Add-ons category, whoot!  It's been a long time coming and although this only completes one part of my tutorials library I'm still really happy to have it done. Heaven knows I can't imagine what this year will be like once I'm finished with all this techie stuff but me thinks it will have something to do with sunshine and lolly pops! *smile*

Important ~ New Updated Background Codes 4th (and final) Post

I'm happy to announce that this is the final update for my background codes ~ Wow, what an ordeal! The faeries and I have been working some major overtime these past few months that it's hard to believe it's finally done.  Of course the new website still needs to be finished but at least all of my background codes are updated and this part of the Photobucket nightmare is now in the past.

Important Update for Previous Custom Orders

While I'm continuing to work on updating my designer prefab themes the time has come for me to begin replacing images for my previous custom order projects. Many of you may have already received an email from me about this but for those of you who have not, now is the time to contact me via email so we can begin the process of changing over your images. Important - New Updated Background Codes - just backgrounds

Still racing against the clock the faeries and I switched gears a bit today and updated some of the background codes in the "Just Backgrounds" section. This area is a tiny bit easier because it doesn't include having to redo any tags and that's a big time saver right now.  

So far, I've completed A - M in that area so if you're using a background code from one of the titles below, you'll want to update the code on your blog before it disappears.

Revamp Update ~ Prefab Blog Buttons

Revamp Update - Post Dividers

In follow up to my posting, The Bucket, I've begun building my new website. Saying it's a monumentally overwhelming task is definitely an understatement but the good news is I'm making progress.  I have the first few pages up and the one which matters most at this is the list of prefab Post Dividers.  Here is the new direct link to that page where you can find updated image codes: http://www.prl-images.com/post_dividers.html  If you're using one of my prefab post dividers now is the time to switch out for the new link before the old ones disappear.

P4O update~

They say if you want something done, ask someone who's busy and heaven knows that's true ~ I spent a few all-nighters on the Pink for October website last week but couldn't be happier with the progress. The site is now transferred and I've got the basic structure live so if you get a chance, hop on over to PinkforOctober.org and look around ~ it's in desperate need of content but that's on it's way.

Links to the new Facebook and Twitter pages are there as well, so feel free to click and follow. More social and feed links will be coming soon. We've had some wonderful souls step up to help out with those and so many more who've offered ~ thank you, thank you, thank you!

This little project really isn't about me, it's about all of us ~ we all know someone who's fought this battle, whether it's the person we see in the mirror or someone close to our heart, so stepping outside of our routines to click a few links and write a quick post is a great way to give back and help spread the word. Just think if one little post we write motivates a friend or loved one to finally make the appointment for a mammogram they may have been putting off ~ our little effort might save the life of a mother, daughter, sister, or friend. So take the time, write a post, spread the word♥

I'm currently putting together a description and list of activities for those of you who've offered to help so you can look for that in your email sometime this week. Recently I had to make a few chances with my background image storage and so some of you may have noticed your PrL background is M.I.A. No fear ~ this only affected a handful of backgrounds and there are new codes ready to install. Each code is now posted within it's theme page but here are some quick links to help you find them faster:
